I said i'd tell you what happened.
It was NOT a good day for dueling or The TCG known as Yugioh itself.

Explanation after report.

Round 1
Matt Black vs Andrew Pinn
Chaos Tech Chaos Return

Ok, game one he takes after a struggle for field control, he hits with double sorc I cannot recover.

Game 2 is over after like 5 turns. I get god hand, own with Reaper and return of the diff dimension for the win.

Game 3, pure Sh!t, I top bad, i draw bad, he draws godly, i even make bad plays,

Ohhhh I won this one
It was easy, not even gonna tell ya what happened coz it was easy as ever.

Chaos Tech vs Chaos Return

Bad opening hand, lost first game,
Took 2nd game with chaos returning, lost 3rd.
Crap so far.

Yeh, got bad hands but this one was special, I'm owning the field.
He has 1 s/t set, thats all, no hand.
I had 2 x Airknight, and a full hand, Mirror Force set.

He tops into Pot Of Avarice, Ok, i can hadle that, he has ONLY 5 monsters, ok....
He tops from avarice into Graceful...*grrrrr*
I shuffled His deck as well,,,, he tops from graceful 2 goldds and snatch
Wtf??
Anywayz, he snatches ma airknight and attacks with goldd x 2 and airknight, I force obv...and his set card??
His ONLY card....its fecking Royal Decree..... GG??? Wtf is up with my luck???

Ohhh wow, yet another chaos return deck??
Wow..

Was not in the mood to duel thanks to Mr Lucksack of the year.
Lost easily, then now it was 1-4
I just scopped and dropped.
Tournament was crap, everyone was playing Return Chaos or Stein OTK...
NO Originality.
At all.

Basicaly Day 2 was the day i went into side events
I played in the King of Games Tournament, and yeh


I won every match, lol

With a Guardian Sphinx Flip deck, ftw xD

I keep on saying that this is the problem with Yu-Gi-Oh these days. Meta decks everywhere you look. Although they are the challenge in the game, it just gets boring. (My view)
Oh well Matt, look on the bright side. At least you were one that went with originality in mind.

Im never playing a meta deck again, unless, i like it.

ok the new champ isnt a n00b and wasnt a lucksack. he was top of the swis end of day one. i think it was well deserved and wayne was genuinley a nice guy to talk to.

dueling under pressure has certain effects on decisions a player makes or handles situations. If he topped at the right time fair play to him, however u of all people should recognise that every fuker there was either toppin or gettin shuffled fukin jank hands and toppin wat u need at the right time, can be seen as fluke i agree, but at the end of the day its wat igor shuffled him. Its easy to make analysis' of matches and play style and moves but unless ur in their situation, no-one truly knows how they wudve reacted to the same events. at the end of the day, he won the championship, and IMO im kinda glad he did win it, now dont get me wrong i know wat i sad bout the top 8 predictions. but im happy an underdog won it. if he was lucky fair doos, but he's the champ, im not, i dont think im anyone to critisize him or his style, deck, moves etc. cuz he did it. imagine how that dude feels.... i dont think anyone has the right to comment or critisize to take it away from him.

i watched him play too matt, he did extremely well to keep himself composed. the dude was shaking, i say good on him.

loool, so by the sounds of it, the luckiest player won after all our arguements, hehe, the better the deck though , the more chance of a good topdeck imo. So whose to say he hadnt built the best deck

The way i see it, If you can draw any card in your deck and it be useful at that time you draw it i guess you have built a very good deck. So i cant really be considered a lucky topdeck as any card would have helped ya.

So if the guy built a deck in which he could do this i'd say good luck to him.


But then again noone has the perfect deck

and if u think u'd know howd u handle a top pressure situation, theres a highly strong percentage that u wudnt do as u reckon u wud. And as u havent dueled in pro pressure games, i dont think ur evaluation means anything.

and choc i cudve done better, but i lost due to being delt a 5 monster hand and confiscation while my opponent had pretty much god drawing power, if i went 3-1 on day 2 if i went 4-0 i wudve t8'd. so im not really glad bout 23rd.
