Stupid Question

Ok this may sound like a stupid question...well acually there's two but i just need to clear things up.

1) Can cards like Spirit of flames and Aqua Spirit be normal summoned and does it afeect them in anyway.

2) All the harpie cards; Harpie lady 1 Cyber Harpie etc. That say " This cards name is treated as 'Harpie Lady'" Does that only take affect once they are out on the field.
i.e. can u add a cyber harpie from ur deck to your hand with the effect of birdface.


OK i think that was actually four questions but no-one has posted recently so i thought i should.

So can anyone help me out?

u have to special summon those monsters, there is no way to normal summon them, its the the first line of the card texts =/

you can only have 3 harpie ladys in your deck, i honestly dont see why cyber harpie cant be retreived with birdface.

I ran harpies a while back, it took a while to find but yes you can get cyber harpie with bird face, the cards effect is always active. Its different to say proto cyber d which states as long as this card is face up on your side of the field (or something like that).

So could you have 3 harpie ladies 3 cyber harpies and 3 harpie lady 1s in the same deck or not?

Ooops and i forgot to say....

it just says removing from play is the only way to special summon it doesnt say it can only be special summoned full stop.

ok the rediculous thing is ive answered your questions, then youve reposted them =/ wtf??

YOU CAN ONLY HAVE 3 HARPIE LADY IN ANY ONE DECK. when it says this card name is treated as harpie lady, it means the same thing for lady 1,2,3 or simple lady. you can have combos like 1 cyber harpie, one harpie lady 1, one harpie lady 3 etc. but u cannot have more than 3 harpie lady in the saem deck, i understand the names are different but that was a fuk up from konami for releasing them later, and cyber harpie was a promo for a sneak peak in america last year. i hope that makes more sense to you.

the spirit monsters u askd about can only b special summoned full stop, i dont care if u think otherwise, its fact.

Aqua Spirit and Spirit of Flames clearly state [already noted by Thunder_Struck]:
This card cannot be Normal Summoned or Set.

The only posible way left to summon these is via special summon, which has the specified conditions.

For the record and to clarify once and for all, harpies are like umi and a legendary ocean. Lgendary ocean is treated as umi so you can't have 3 of each or you will have 6 umi in your deck making it illegal.

As for the others, enough said.

First of all thank you all very much for your help.

I'm not trying to force the issue, my questions have been answered and i understand wot the answers mean but NONE of my Spirt of Flames type cards say This card cannot be Normal Summoned or Set. I might just have old cards but it definatley doesn't say that. Thats why i was asking in the first place.

Sorry just had to get that of my chest.

You're lucky enough to have the 1st edition LON cards then. The text had an errata, and was updated on the unlimited LON cards.
