a few situations im not sure about:
1. if ur opponent has a bth face down and you summon phoenix. He activates bth and phoenix dies and will not return next turn. Correct??
2. if you already have phoenix on the field and opponent has bth face down. Then phoenix is killed by say a smashing ground. It returns next turn, but can your opponent destroy it using his bth?? or will the phoenix effect destroy it first?
hope you lot can help...

well he is an excellent counter to DW, he is always worth looking at, but he it usually sided against as peeps have kycoo and BTH's sided frequently now, with the increasing use of the monarchs, and the frog. Defo, try though, he is ace 1st game, but not so good 2 and 3

If Sacred Phoenix special summons itself, and your opponent chains BTH, sure Sacred Phoenix is removed from play ... but his effect of destroying all spell/trap cards still resolves.
