Fusion and Ritual summons

If you fusion summon using polymerization, or ritual summon using a ritual spell, and your opponent activates solemn judgement, does your *cost* still occur.

i.e. Are the fusioned monsters still sent to the graveyard, etc?

Yes the cost does still occur, example, If I have a monster on my side of the field and trib it for something else, the tributed monster is still gone and the summoned monster goes to the graveyard, harsh I know.
