If DDWL attacks a face down Cyber Jar, does Cyber Jar's effect still happen. I'm guessing not as DDWL removes the cards from play after damage calculation, but before filp effects resolve. Is this correct?
It came up in a duel with my son, I let him have Cyber Jar's effect cause I'm nice ;D Though I told him it probably shouldn't.
Also am I correct is saying I would activate DDWL's effect before Cyber Jar was flipped face-up due to the attack i.e. before I know what the face-down card even was?

Sorry bood, can you clarify this? What's correct? Cyber jar's effect will work since it's a flip effect and it doesn't need to gto the grave yard to work (unlike spear cretin)

I thought perhaps it would have been removed from play before it had a chance to resolve ... But they are still removed from play right, instead of hitting the graveyard. Guess I'm still learning how to play this game. It is a chain after all isn't it - forgot about that. What about my other question? Can I activate DDWL's effect during the damage step?

yep, but is a bit pointless, as once cyber jars effect has been used, its probably not gonna be used again, so therefore its better to choose not to use d.d.'s effect, as it would in this instance be more useful in the graveyard.

That's what I was thinking, or rather hoping for. Being able to activate it's effect after the opponent's monster has been flipped face up is much more flexible.
Thanks guys. Turns out my son was right after all.
Although convinving him it's an optional effect is still work in progress.
