This came up last night and as I have never used the card I thought I'd best ask.
Paladin ritual summoned succesfully, use effect to destroy 1 face down defense position monster and negate it's flip effect if it has one.
The above was done fine, but on the card it says that you can sacrifice this card to summon blue eyes white dragon during your main phase.
My question is, if you have just ritual summoned paladin to the field, used its effect, can you summon blue eyes during the current main phase or do you have to wait until your next main phase ie main phase 2?
The kids all had a good debate about this last night so I said I would find out for definite!
Cheers,
Ade.

As far as I am aware you can summon in that main phase as it is another special summon not a normal one.

In the situation you described certainly you'd have to wait till main phase II. To use it's effect you'd have to be in the battle phase in the first place.
Anyhow same turn appears legal.

totally legal, as long as the kids at the club that summoning of any kind only happens in main phases 1 or 2 and no other phases, then no problems here.

Yes they know when to summon their cards, it's ironing out how they perceived effect cards before they came to the club.
Thank you all for clearing this up!
