Hi all,
I recently started 2 Yu-gi-oh clubs up in my local area and I have a 17yr old kid at one who is quite adamant that Obelisk the Tormentor is now a legal card for use in decks within the UK.
Now unless I missed a massive story on this, no god cards are deck legal correct?
He does know quite a bit about Yu-Gi-Oh cards, but I have searched the net for this and drew a blank.
So if someone would kindly nip this in the bud for me, then I can print the page and take it to tomorrows club and clear it up for him.
Many thanks,
Ade.

the god are are forbbiden for use in torunament since they were released. they are for collecting purposes only, and for n00bs who think they are good to use in friendleys, but if your clubs are any good they will abide by the rules of ude and there fore this forbids te use of god cards in players deck, and i he knows quite a bit about yu gi then tell him he's a n00b lol

Ha ha, I certainly will do!!!
Little know it all I think, thats all. It's proper rules at my club and I was amazed at the first one at the many different ways children play the game and none of them properly!!
My 6yr old son is lucky that I saw how keen he was and taught myself so I could teach him, then when he reached a final at the summer tourney I thought I need to keep his interest up so the club is a perfect way for him to play others in the area.
It's a crying shame that most adults take one look at the rule book and think sod that! The only one who knows how to play at one of the clubs is my lad. Its crazy.
Many thanks for clearing that one up for me, but I don't think I will print it out as he probably won't take kindly to being called a noob lol.
Cheers,
Ade.

I'm in the same boat.
My son (then 6) wanted to know the game as well. I read (and re-read) the rule book just to teach him the game, and ended up playing myself.
It's a shame that so many parents don't take the time to learn it and ensure their kids play by the rules. My area is exactly the same - my son knows how to play, but no-one else does. At least the other kids listen to him when he tries to correct them "I'll ask my dad" usually settles it.
