for dark magician girl, i know she gains points for the number of DM there are in the graveyard, but does she gain points for say dark magician of chaos?

im afraid not
Increase the ATK of this monster by 300 points for each "Dark Magician" or "Magician of Black Chaos" in either player's Graveyard.
and im sure we dont get the magician of black chaos in us/eu

i think the black magician was from one of the japanese yugi starter packs for ages ago. so not sure if it'll ever be released.

dark magician of chaos is definately different as i have magician of black chaos and the ritual in japanese and dmoc in english. same atk+def but dmoc has an effect.
