The grudge is a remake of what was originally supposed to be a scary film, however the only thing remotely scary about the remake is having to sit through the entire length of it bored to the bone, the acting is second rate and the paranormal phenomenon that takes place is lame to say the least. Through out the entire film I can only think of one part that was remotely interesting and that lasted for all of 3 seconds.
If your trying to watch a horror film avoid this at all costs, die hard horror film lovers will be greatly disappointed. The film was over hyped to begin with and due to its lack of anything scary it shouldn't be classed as horror flick.
