The film continues with the same theme as the original, a sadistic cancer suffering murderer (although he never kills anybody) finds ways for people to kill them selves, each victim in some way ruining their lives or the lives of people around them, the dying Saw's mission is to show them they have more to live for. In the sequel we find various people waking up in a house with no recollection of how they got there, and no way of getting out, you see the usual trade mark of the saw with the tapes for each soon to be victim explaining why they have been chosen, then the games begin.
The original film was thought provoking and had the biggest twist in the dying seconds than any other film ever released, any body that has seen the original will no doubt have been drawn into the films psychological teasing about who the killer was throughout the picture, well in the sequel you find out, but yet again there is a twist you won't believe (people who have seen the original will be familiar with the outcome of this film but not for the reasons you think). The plot of this film is undoubtedly one of the most thought out and original creations to ever grace our screens, rarely since the release of the Brad Pitt's psychological thriller "Seven" do we see such thought go into a film.
One thing that I want to draw every bodies attention to in this film (hence the new paragraph) is the opening 5 minutes, I dare any body to watch it with out cringing, easily the best opening ever made if you like blood and gore.
This is a must see sequel to a brilliant original film. 5/5
