In the world of today where "fear" is trying to be injected into every person who has to take any public transport, or live and work in any major town/city, is there actually anything that can be done. Loss of life is very saddening for not just families and friends, but a country feels their pain. Anybody who flicks on a tv is sucked in, and often cant look away as it is an act of pure evil that chills everybody regardless of age or sex. Just when progress is being made, another part gets knocked down. It is unfortunately the most effective act of evil that has ever been on earth, and it cant be settled with actions or words.
On one hand, we must stay calm, alert but not show that we are afraid of this "threat", but Blaire's idea of this is not effective at all. If you lay down say it doesnt bother us it will just keep happening. The current policy, which i agree with till something better can come forward, of shooting to kill only works as a short term thing. Yes, lives are being saved by a suicide bomber not accomplishing their goal, but death to them is expected, and where that one came from, there are alot more in the waiting and in the making. But hand in hand with this is the fact that we are more alert, and mistakes will be made; we are only human, and to make a judgement of shooting someone dead who is unfortunately inocent, and hessitating to confirm which gives them the time to detonate is an obvious descision.
The other side of this coin is finding out the facts and then going off to war to take them out, as if in a 'its them or us' way. Eliminate the threat at the source and show that we will not take it, and terrorism is not welcome in the world. But this is just the same as staying at home and 'Shooting to kill'; sending people over there is still people killing people, forfilling the goal of the terrorists which is the distruction of life as we know it for another way or living. If or as soon as the threat is eliminated, its not over, because that action causes a rebelion counter attack in form of more bombings by someone else who is a part of them, cause you cant get them all.
What we are going through is an evolution of the planet, which is reflected in our own lifestyles; this "shoot to kill" practice the metropolitian police are using is what our generation of law enforcement are having to use just like over 110 years ago when Jack the Ripper commited the crimes of Whitechapel which gave birth to the bases of modern investigation through evidence and science.
Whatever is decided to be done about Terrorism is gonna be the wrong choice, and innocent lives will be lost in the process, and we will all be there watching.... people will protest, others will be against them... but instead they should unite and be one; whatever is chosen and done is done, and there is nothing that will change it... a life lost over there is just the same as a life lost here at home.

Give me 5 minutes with any potential terrorist, when i'm finished with them they'll be thankful just to be alive. Granted i could get the job done in under a minute but i want the B*****D to suffer. But hey thats just what i think should be done.

The thing that gets me is that it is all due to religion, these people claim to be religious yet no matter what religion you are "thou shalt not kill" is still part of it, how can you be religious and blow people up???

That's a well written statement there, angel. I feel that something has to be done as soon as possible once intelligence has correct information and take them out. But, I on the other hand do feel afraid about the prospects of war and about how far it could spread around the world.

But, I on the other hand do feel afraid about the prospects of war and about how far it could spread around the world. i understand why you would feel that way, but we shouldnt fear anything like that... if you look at history, war has happened ever since tools were fashioned to hunt; we saw that we could use those weapons as defence from others, and so attacked each other for space, food, dominance etc. thats the way it has alwas been... if you didnt fight, you would be killed, so you had to fight. its the exact same as it is today... people say the most stupid things sometimes, but if you look back, they arent stupid at all... but it doesnt mean its right. the americans say Nukes are bad... the terrorists have these weapons blah blah blah... they said it about russia too which led to "We need nukes cause if we didnt, others would use them on us."... it is the most stupid statement on earth, but is true. its been true since the time of spears and arrows. the only way war would never happen is for the weapons to be gone...... Yeah right.... thats bull. Weapons dont make wars, people do... and no one will give up the weapons, on the off chance someone doesnt. Thats why so many americans have guns with the thinking "oh crap, i need a gun, to protect myself from someone else with a gun". i would rather say "dam, i need a bullet-proof vest" cause thats the correct defence to a gun... fighting fire with fire just makes more fire. So im not saying you shouldnt be scared of WW3 or anything, but wars are inevitable... its who we are..... animals. someone said about religion earlier..... it is so stupid that religion is such a big problem... you got the assh*les who are trying to force their beliefs on others and thats just out of order. everyone should be able to do what they want freely. Religion is one of the most stupid things, and if you are religious... the best thing you can do is shut your mouth, and keep it to yourself. the 3 most stupid subjects for fights of any kind, are religion, prejudice and football. All teams are the same... its just a game, but fights brake out. prejudice is stupid cause we are all the same, but some think they are better then others... and religion.... the thing about this is so rediculous... you look at every religion and you will see they believe in something... thats where it should stop. all religions are the same... in the bible, there was someone who ascended to third heaven which was like paradise. they went there in their mind.... which suggests that christianity is more about self improovement, and heaven is inside of us. The rules of the church say if you do those things, you go to heaven... you might.... but like i just said, if you do these good things, you feel a better person, and so you are in heaven on earth. its just a state of mind... and when you know that, you can look at budhism, and realise that is exactly the same. |

BUT THATS THE POINT ALL TEAMS ARE NOT THE SAME IF THEY WERE THEN THERE WOULD BE NO GAME, NO WINNING AND NO LOSING.
THE SAME WITH PREJUDICE NO MATTER WEATHER YOU LIKE IT OR NOT, WE ARE NOT ALL THE SAME. IF WE WERE THEN THERE WOULD BE NO WORLD TODAY. AS WE WOULD BE A FROZEN SOCIETY.
THERE WOULD BE NO SKILL NO BETTERMENT AND NO PROGRESS. WHAT WOULD WE DO WITH NO INNOVATION THERE WOULD BE NO TECHNOLOGY, NO FOOD AND NOTHING TO DO.
BUT TO MAKE THE POINT WITH OUT THE NEED TO DO BETTER WEATHER TO BEAT SOME ONE IN A GAME WORK HARDER OR JUST STAND OUT FROM THE CROWD.... THERE WOULD BE NO WORLD TODAY.
SELF ACHIEVEMENT IS JUST LIKE WINNING, EVERYONE WANTS TO BE BETTER AT SOMETHING THAT DOES NOT MAKE IT WRONG JUST BECAUSE YOU ARE BETTER THAT SOMEONE. TRY BEING INSPIRED TO DO BETTER AND ACHIEVE MORE BECAUSE WITHOUT THAT NO ONE WOULD GET OUT OF BED.............................

no, you are taking that too literal. of course there are differences between the two teams, races and religions.... and i didnt say anything about the winning. like you said for the first part, there needs to be difference for a winner and loser to emerge. i didnt say there should be... i said they are the same, cause its a game... but people who say "their team is better" then take it too far by fighting is rediculous. its a game.. a game you watch.... you have no control over that game... the fight doesnt change the score, doesnt make your team better, doesnt proove anything to do with your team. thats why i said the teams are the same; they just play the game... each player has individual talent... its the outsides who arent actually involded that are the idiots.
likewise with race.... of course we are not all the same.... we all have different cultures that make up the world.. but we are the same cause we share this world, and are human beings. like with the football teams... some are better off then others, and i didnt say they werent. i said the people who are prejudice to another because of their colour or race. going up to a coloured person and saying "get away from me you n*****" is uncalled for. it doesnt show you are better then them, it doesnt show you have a problem with the person inside, its just his exteriour appearance.
you took the word "same as too literal"; we are the same as we are human beings living in this world, at this current time... if you were blindfolded and put in a room with people, you wouldnt know the difference between any of them... you wouldnt make a judgement on someone if they were black, looked poor, acted different... i never said "we should all be the same, like robots". our individuality is what makes us better, our skill pushes us forward. but what does a fight at a football match accomplish... yeah, you can say how many people you had to pin you down when you were getting busted, but other then that, nothing. what do you get for fighting with someone who believes in a different god to you? have you made them change their mind? no.
i did not talk about self achievement or any kind of acts at all did i? modern medicine has been evolved from trial an error, mouldy plates, the death of the unfortunate people with illness that allows doctors to examine and look for a posible cure... nobody in science has died with no real effect on the world. a cancer patient dies after treatment, they can look into it more. competition drives us onward, wanting to be the best to our ability... no sportsman is thinking "i gotta beat that guy, he cant keep going" they are thinking "if i want to win, i got to push harder". the winners will do it, cause they did it themselves; not cause the fans had a fight about it, because of their own achievement. has a football fight changed anything, has name calling changed anything? no. why? cause we are the same, and those actions dont make us stand out for any good reasons. what makes us stand out is a person helping without any care for their own well being, going to what noone else can psuh themselves to.
you cut the fat of anything to its rawest base and you see, everything is the same; its the slight differneces that make it better. But your saying difference of teams is about talent, which because of those differences, the things that happen outside of that 90 minute match are justified, or the world would beboring; im saying teams are different in that thats what the game is about. two teams , 22 people trying to proove they are better, for the sake of entertainment and improovement.
Winning is a lifestyle, but it doesnt justify causing a fight cause your a loser. your a loser, cause you werent as good as the other.... its your fault, not the other persons.... so rather then pushing yourself more, you decide to fight the winner cause you dont like that fact; that you are a Loser. which is exactly like the terrorist movement, trying to push its beliefs onto others. they dont like that others believe in something different, so they decide to try to make them see it their way.
