'Twas a dark and sunny morn, when 7 desperate fugitives did take the bus to deepest, darkest higham ferrers to test their skills 'gainst the most terrible of fiends. Truly fate was plotting against them as they battled their way to the hall where the grand conflict was to be overseen by the watchful eyes of the Gods themselves!!
Right, enough of that.
I was running my "Lucky Strike" 2nd Coin Toss deck, And not expecting to do much more than terrify my opponents with my uncanny abilities with Time Wizard.
First Round:
Lewis Friend- Strike Ninja Return
First round i lost out due to drawing 13 magic and trap in a row, and getting beaten down with strike ninja, with a return to finish me off. Second round, slightly better draw but still the same result.
2-0 to him. On a side note, he was also an arrogant male anatomy ****bag, before we'd even shuffled our decks, he asked if i'd like him to sign the winners slip now. Also, he'd applaud every time i dropped a coin, and was generally an obnoxious little scumbag that i was sorely tempted to drag out the back of the hall and "Re-educate" him in the ways of good sportsmanship. But i was sure it wasn't worth a ban. Next round!
Round 2
Steve Smith- Warrior Toolbox
A shame, this was steves first tournament, we'd brought him along with us. Just beat him down in both rounds with blowback dragons. He did really well for the amount of time he's been playing, and he seemed happy with just having a good duel, whether he won or not.
2-0 to me. Another side note, This round saw lewis friend having his arse handed to him by kieran wood! Cheers Kieran!
Round 3
Bob Wheeler- Cannon Chaos
A disturbing first round as my scapegoat tokens got slapped and trampled by Majestic Mech- Goryu, but i soon regained control with the help of time wizards, blowback dragons, chaos sorcerors...
2-0 to me. A great game, i enjoy duelling Bob Its worth noting that at this point, Lewis "i'm a male anatomyy netdecking n00b" Friend is getting professionally hammered by Ross Lambert. Good Lad
Round 4
Kieran Wood- Non Spellcasting Area
Another friend to duel, i don't like having to do this. Blowbacks and sorcerors took advantage, kieran got bad draws, and got beaten both rounds.
2-0 to me.
Round 5
Adam Jackman- Chaos
I don't really remember much about this duel (sorry Adam) But unfortunately Chaos decks bore the **** outta me. All that needs to be said is first round he won, second i took, and third i drew bad and lost.
2-1 to him.
Round 6
Anthony Stevens- Icarus Chaos
First round i got burnt with stealth bird ( i thought this was chaos, not burn!), second round i took care of with blowback and time wizard, third round time was called. All i had on the field for his last turn was time wizard, a face-down nobleman and a face down enemy controller. He special summoned Cyber Dragon, called Chaos Sorceror and summoned Dekoichi. After attacking with dekoichi and cyber dragon, i activated enemy controller in response to his Chaos sorceror attack....leaving me with 300 more lp than him. My final turn came, i drew heavy storm, played it nd destroyed call along with sorceror, summoned my only other card, magical merchant, and ended laughing FTW.
A final Score of 4-2 for me, and 6th place
