Ok basically i havent posted on here for a while now and i thort wot better way to start up agen then with a tourny report. Here goes.
I woke up pretending to go to work on saturday, mum didnt suspect a thing.. brilliant ;D! next it was hop on the bus to flitick, then the train to bedford, meet jamie(shandyboy) and from there to st pancras. We arrived after an uncomfortably crowded journey in london and after a brief moment of getting lost we found the county hotel for the tourny. We registered and then round 1 began on the stroke of 12!
Round1
Me(warrior toolbox) vs Dino(agressive burn/ final count down)
altho the pairing seemed weird it was a very good game, me taking the 1st game after many many attacks from ms lv 2, reaper, magical merchant and mof! Game 2 very different, he goes 1st opening with final count down level limit and a card face down which turned out 2 b g-bind!! My opening hand would have been fine against any normal deck, from this he kept up the stall and eventually turn 20 came and he wasnt dead i was annoyed! Game 3 was more one sided, after rinsing out his hand early on don and reaper along with a timely heavy storm and decree won me the game.

)
very one sided, he never got out his beat stick monsters and a legendary ocean at the same time this was due to me runnin 2 dust tornados however. Bottomline tho 2-0 win to me.

i then nipped out 2 get a crappy egg mayo sandwich but the pringles and mars bar made up for it tho

me vs sum reali kl guy who i helped with his deck and then went on to win the rest of his games but shhhh he didnt cheat!
another one sided game don rinsed his hand clean and sangan/jinzo advantage won it both times.

me vs Jamie aka shandyboy(warrior toolbox)
this was wierd he decided to scoop for me which was very cool of him and as he went on to make top 8 any way, we had a mess around duel anyway which oddly i won but hey ho.

Me vs Daniel 'the gay' weird bloke(warrior agrro)
this was a strange match indeed, but this guy got far too male anatomyy, ill explain. 1st game went to him quite convinsingly. I sided, put in anti warrior, but still was on the back foot for the most part of the game, then he had two opportunities to win, one was where he turned DDs into defence possition the other was when he said 'no i wont attack with cyber dragon' he switched it to defence position and then i topped snatch, summoned my cyber dragon, snatched his cyber and attacked for game. game 3 went my way and an early don and reaper rinsed his hand along with decree he couldnt move and i won, even he sed he sould have won that game but hey i didnt tell him to get male anatomyy!
5-0 in swiss get in, i topped swiss then after writing top 8 deck lists the top 8 part started.

me vs Louie(warrior beat down)
game 1 went straight to him, i couldnt move, he kept advantage and took the game. Game 2 was mine! rinsed his hand with don, he tried to recover but i cybered, snatched and jinzoed for game. The last game was excellent, the control shifted so many times, eventually i used dark hole, premed breaker he chained dust, but i chained call to get jinzo back atack attack gg.
semifinals
me vs a little kid with unbelievable skill/luck
1st game was his, he topped so much i couldnt keep up and his cyber jar gave him so much advantage it wasnt real, but still funny game! Game 2 was mine, i started strongly with blade knight and soon don showed up along with ms lv 2 and his traps were taken care of thanks to decree. The last game started off evenly but then started to swing into my favor a timely dark hole for him let him get sum control back but cyber and smashing ground ended the game.
Final
me vs aron newman(warrior toolbox)
This guy is a top duelist and a top bloke! This was very close tho this game, basically each of us mirrioring the other, eventually i ran into and unneeded sakuretsu which lost any control that i had and then before i knew i was left top decking, and just drew dead for the rest of the game. The next game i sided kinetics, decree and solemn and got the control i wanted, a few dons, decree and a controller later it was one a piece. It all came down to this last game, the winner a spot at the nats, the loser just a runner up! He sided and then we were underway. He opened strongly but i was able to come back, unfortunately i wasnt able to keep many monsters on the field, only breaker, he then topped snatch and tributed breaker for mobius which got rid of sak armor and controller, chaining controller gave me another turn tho. i topped smash getting rid of mobius so that was lucky, but now we were both left top decking, i was on 600lp he was 3500lp! i then topped DDwl attacked leaving him on 2000. His turn came and me with no cards face down and just DDwl on the field he topped brain control, it was over! Aron won in an excellent game and one that he very much deserved to win.
