Oakland, US Sneak Preview ( 7.08.05) with Part 2

[KOCW]

Morning of Event

On a cold foggy morning in San Fransisco I woke at 6:15am. Got ready to go and then went with dad to the Polk Street Station diner for breakfast which ended up being Porridge( Oatmeal) and a milk. Anyway got on the Cable car down to the Bay Area Rapid Transport (BART) Station and went over to Oakland.

Arrival at the event

Once i arrived i found i was about an hour early as did this Kid called Chris. So when i got to the door a judge was there with a hand scanner which was odd cos i thought who's going to try something here? anyway got scanned and then duelled chris. Beat him 3 times. once with exoida and twice with gravekeeper's. After that the TO came out and let us through the 1st door. He then gave me a free T-shirt for coming from Europe so not bad. Signed up for the 1st contrusted tournament so here we go.

I got Phoenix out in my 2nd turn so torrance struggled but got rid of it later. Eventuall won this round With breaker attacking Sangan

Simply put i got Delinquent Duo twice and then had no advatage over 2 monsters whilst top decking.

This time it was 3 Duo's and he sued pheonix and E battle ox to win.

Got stuck against phoenix and could summon a monster to kill it so got best of me in the end.

Part 2
The chase

Having known that i asn't going to the top 4 in tourney 1 i asked where to enter the next tournament b4 it closed. The scorekeeper told me front desk and the TO said if you run you can enter. So i ran to the front desk and got there and they said it was full. Dam so i was going to play in casual play until the TO came over and said to enter me as the 33rd person so i got lucky. So on with tournament 2.

Raynail never played a single monster so i won with no resisitance.

Only difference this time was that he removed my phoneix with DDWL but otherwise same as b4.

Not really the deck to play when i got strong attack monsters but i kept clearing out staller but in the end just got burnt.

For these game i had side decked jinzo in to stop burnering by traps. Thanks to this i won both games with little trouble.

Very tense game this was and it took so long but it must of been gd since we drew a crowd. Hard to say every move but Jackie won using BLS when he pretty much ran out of deck.

The only damage i did was with sangan The got slapped with BLS again.

No tactis in this game it was strighat forward and boring game really.

This game was much longer and tougher than the 1st. Thanks to kycoo i had removed most the good monsters from his grave including BLS so he struggled when his monster options were low.

Similar to ealrier games where he also used BLS to win once he had run out of options. Some people sheesh.

The Aftermath

Once i got my prizes the TO had us line up by the door to leave. He played a game called "going home" (clever name) The game invovled a dice. If he rolled 1 or 2 you get a T - shirt and any other number you get a TP6 . Well i got TP6 anyway. Once we left the Tournament me and dad went to the pub.

On the basis i did well and only just missed out on a few games i think u might do as well as me. Also im gone for 3 weeks and now you start winning games in tournies o dear somethings got to be done about that. tututu
