yep, it only lasts while on the field, same as all equip cards, well most cards in general really.

however if snatch is destroyed and u chain book of moon, or if the monster is turned face down snatch is gone but the monster stays under ur control.

in the same way, if sdome one snatches your monster and you chain book it is flipped down on your side before they control it so natch is sent to the graveyard
